SONOMA, CALIFORNIA - WINE COUNTRY GEM DESTINATION INCLUDES CANNABIS AS PART OF THE EXPERIENCE

Summary: "...the Healdsburg City Council preliminarily approved a path for two dispensaries — and potentially future consumption lounges. The Council reached a 3-0 consensus in its first vote on the matter...allow consumption lounges, where recreational cannabis can be used in a public setting."

Travel Lens Commentary: Healdsburg is a destination known for lux travel - wine, food, and the finer things - and now cannabis. Two dispensaries and one lounge are on the pathway to becoming part of the Healdsburg experience, and why shouldn't cannabis be included? Sonoma County is ag country at the end of the day, a destination where nature thrives. Know for apples as much as grapes, Sonoma County is not surprisingly home to award-winning top shelf cannabis farmers, some of whom are double as award-winning grape growers and winemakers. Demeter certified, biodynamic cultivation, living soil, and organic and regenerative farming methods are all part of the culture of Sonoma - true craft. The very first organic certified cannabis farm resides in Sonoma County. Healdsburg now becoming part of the Sonoma County cannabis story is another milestones of normalization. #cannabistravel

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - CANNABIS, HEMP, & CBD WEAVE INTO POP CULTURE, OFFERING OPPORTUNITIES FOR HOTELS, BUSINESSES, AND BRANDS

Summary: “Smokus Pocus,” a cannabis-themed magic show headed for a two-week residency inside Las Vegas’ AREA15. It runs at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. from April 15 through June 15. “Millions of people like to have their minds blown by watching magic and millions like to expand their minds by getting high, so I figured why not combine the two?” Zabin said in a press release. “This show is really interactive, and the audiences are always so receptive, it’s just a great experience for everyone.” As the world’s first weed-first magician, Zabin — a resident of upscale Greenwich, Conn., where cannabis is fully legal for recreational use — performs tricks that include making objects vanish and then reappear inside bags of his favorite plant. #cannabistravel#cannabistourism

Travel Lens Commentary: Cannabis is a pop culture trend. Mainstream consumers globally, are drawn toward content and experiences that are related to cannabis, hemp, and CBD. Themed entertainment and the arts will evolve ongoing and include cannabis. This cannabis themed magic show in Las Vegas is an example of that. Cannabis, hemp, and CBD being pop culture trends today translates to opportunities in the visitor economy including hotel, groups, meetings, conferences, airports, and more. In today's climate, any and all businesses in travel, serving the visitor ecosystem of a destination, should consider going through the exercise of a dedicated strategy for cannabis, hemp, and CBD. It drives safety, uplifts hospitality, and translates to revenue while leaning into a pop culture trend that continues to exponentially grow. #cannabistravel#cbdwellnessChamber of Cannabis

GLOBAL - CBD AS A TOOL FOR TRAVEL WITH PETS

Summary "Consider using CBD oil if you think your dog will be anxious. CBD oil can help with dog anxiety. Signs of nervousness and anxiety in your dog include a lowered head, whimpering, and excessive barking. CBD oil can help your dog relax and stay calm all through your flight. It works by interacting with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which maintains the health of various critical regulatory systems. The interaction of CBD oil and ECS helps fight inflammation, energy imbalance, and anxiety." #pettravel#dogfriendlytravelBringFido

Travel Lens Commentary: CBD is increasingly synonymous with wellness. CBD is an active ingredient and therapeutic chemical compound found in both the cannabis and hemp. Confusing right? Well, cannabis and hemp are essentially the same plant. Those plant varietals that have only trace amounts of THC (the molecule that gets you high when heated up) are considered hemp or 'industrial' hemp today, and further reaches into innovation around sustainable products like hempcrete in the building industries and hemp batteries in the energy sector. CBD as a therapeutic compound is something special that nature provides via hemp and cannabis, something we humans co-evolved with for thousand and thousands of years, as did our pets and animals friends. Like humans, dogs also have an ECS (endo-cannabinoid system) whose receptors work and communicate directly with hemp, CBD, and cannabis. CBD is known to have a calming effect and help address anxiety, pets included. Federally legal hemp-derived CBD, as a potential anxiety reducer, applies to both humans and our four-legged furry family members. #cbdtravel#cbdtherapy
