Travel Lens Commentary: CBD is increasingly synonymous with wellness. CBD is an active ingredient and therapeutic chemical compound found in both the cannabis and hemp. Confusing right? Well, cannabis and hemp are essentially the same plant. Those plant varietals that have only trace amounts of THC (the molecule that gets you high when heated up) are considered hemp or 'industrial' hemp today, and further reaches into innovation around sustainable products like hempcrete in the building industries and hemp batteries in the energy sector. CBD as a therapeutic compound is something special that nature provides via hemp and cannabis, something we humans co-evolved with for thousand and thousands of years, as did our pets and animals friends.
